Bodmin Visitor Centre is top of the pops - and that's official. The centre and staff have scooped the top tourism oscar for Visitor Centre of the Year at the annual Cornwall Tourism Awards. Beating off competition from across the County Bodmin proved they are the best at giving visitors what they want - good information and exceptional levels of customer care.

The Moor is dominated by dramatic granite tors which tower over the sweeping expanses of open moorland. Marshes and bogs on the high moor drain into shallow moorland valleys before the rivers cross onto softer shales around the Moor and carve themselves deep river valleys, providing shelter for rich, damp oak woodland.
